While going about my arduous task as a wine writer, I attend scores of tastings, trying thousands of wines and writing miles and miles of tasting notes. During this time, lists of special offers drop through my letterbox with comforting regularity. As a result of this I am able to point people in the right direction for bargains.

I have worked in the wine trade since the early 80s moving through the various WSET* qualifications and into the challenging life of a Master of Wine student. I managed to pass the practical part of this at first attempt and hope to clinch the theory next summer. I have worked for importers, run wine appreciation courses, led wine tastings and now write a couple of weekly wine columns.

I have tried to make the site simple and user-friendly. This is a one-busy-woman show and all I want to offer, initially, is an intelligible bargain search.

Whilst I am very careful with the input of prices, etc, I cannot be held responsible for any errors nor for stock levels at your local shop. If you're basing a huge order around these prices, it is best to phone ahead first.

If you see any really obvious typos or mistakes (like the Pinot Noir from Burgundy I found last week, that I’d input as White!) I’d really appreciate a quick email.
