Lets talk about Red Burgundy that earns a Star for the money. A matured 1er Cru for £15 quid.

This Beaune from Chanson is 1er Cru mix, and is assembled from their own domaines in the Premier Cru. Chanson have many 1er Cru domaines in the illustrious Kidney shaped region above Beaune. This is made from left overs from some very noble domaines, Champimont, Teurons, Greves.

2002 is a nicely ripe, yet it is a lasting and laying down vintage, and this wine will go to 2011/12. It is ready, and drinks very well now, and has been looked after for 6 years.

The tasting notes are as Majestic says: This is the link
