						 60% Montepulciano and 40% Sangiovese from the DOC Rosso Piceno Superiore area. Vines are 8 - 30 years old, planted on clay and
 sand at an altitude of 150 - 350m and a density of 1,700 - 3,500vines/ha. The grapes enjoyed a cold maceration and were fermented
 with selected yeast at a controlled temperature partly in cement and partly in steel tanks. Matured in a combination of oak barrels,
 cement and steel. Winemaker Giuliano D’Ignazi, with consultant Riccardo Cotarella. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Alc 12.5%,
 TA 5.1g/l, pH 3.55, RS 5.0g/l. Waitrose Wine Direct and 258 branches.
 
 Quite a pink, confected nose. Spicy, fruity and dark.  Easy and a very fair price.  Pizza wine.
