100% Chardonnay from a terraced vineyard on the upper slopes just south of Nuits-St-Georges, planted on clay-rich lime soils over marl.
Vinified in 228l oak casks from Vosges, Allier and Burgundy, of which 30% were new, the balance 2nd and 3rd fill. Matured in the same casks
on lees for 14 months. Suitable for vegetarians. Alc 12.8%, TA 4.2g/l, pH 3.15, RS 2.0g/l. Waitrose Wine Direct and 8 branches.

White Nuits St Georges? How spoilt are we? Interesting, savoury nose. Oaky and lovely. I can’t say I love it more than the Girardin Meursault which is a lot cheaper.
