Butterscotch, banana & caramel. Nice smooth creamy mouth feel and good buttery length.
This tastes a little sweeter than I previously remember but I still enjoyed it
One more 2006 to go under the stairs and have just bought some 2007 to see if perhaps it drinks better a bit younger.
Yes Shezza, 40% of the cuvee was in French oak for 10 months, and very nice indeed - but .......do we know.....
Do you believe the wine will dry off as it evolves - this is tricky. May dry off or it may loose fruit - having said that, it has loads of fruit to dispense with - so no bother. The Napa versions use to go on and on, when made right and not killed off at bottling time. Beware the ones that are killed off - they get the mild fino effect after 5 years
Some say this should be drunk to Spring 2010. These new world good'uns have to be tested over time, and no one knows yet, or do they ?
