100% Pinot Noir grapes from 50 year old vines grown on clay and chalk. Hand-harvested. Macerated pre-fermentation at low temperature, then for a further week after fermentation on the skins. Malolactic fermentation in new and one year old barrels followed by an additional 18 months barrel maturation. Winemakers, Stanislas and Bernard Heresztyn.

Mintily herbal, with sweet fruit on the nose. Pleasing in the mouth – slightly spicy but also with sweet vanilla and evolved fruit. Yum.

:qofgold:
Alc 13%, TA 3.9g/l, pH 3.42, RS 0.27g/l. Available from Wine Direct and 192 branches.

No Argument with that Star, a ripe and sweet and fragrant Gevrey, juicy dark raspberries / black cherry and sweet woodland mushroom with a touch of spice and mushroom. Unfortunately, Waitrose have put the price up since last year :( In the more delicate style for earlier drinking, so no strong food with it, if you dont want your palate blocked. Best with savoury patisserie, Rocket salad and unsalty Brie or roast chicken with nice vegetables. Avoid all salty tit bits with this wine. If drinking as an apperatif, should be sipped with cheese straws and mini Berttolli biscuit breads or similar, with very mild herb flavours. Yum Yum.

Now the best part of £25 - Wait for a discount campaigne
