						 100% Chardonnay from the Cave des Vignerons des Terres Secrètes who have vineyards extending over 200ha in the Mâconnais.
 The vineyard, composed of clay and limestone, is in an excellent south/south-east facing position. Vines are planted at a density of
 8,000 - 10,000vines/ha with an average age of 35 years. Grapes machine-harvested 3rd - 23rd Sept with a yield of 66hl/ha. Gentle
 pneumatic press and 10% of the final blend given some skin contact. Fermented at 14 - 18°C with selected yeasts, 70% underwent malo
 and matured for 12 months on fine lees with monthly stirring. Bottled June 2011. Winemaker Georges Brichon. Suitable for vegetarians
 and vegans. Alc 12.8%, TA 1.75g/l, pH 3.45, RS 1.4g/l. Waitrose Wine Direct and 241 branches.

 Golden colour. Quite a rich nose. Full-flavour, ripe fruit.  Typical and pretty good. Actually, this is the best Blason de Bourgogne wine I’ve tasted – not normally a fan.
