Lemon and flint. So quite classic, yet still, almost unpleasant.

Snap. I have the 2007 in stock. before I open, I will find the CrCd receipt whilst it's chilling. I'm a bit anal about my receipts, which I keep in a wooden chest.
If I find similar problems with it, I will report back. If it is worse, it goes back.
I'm surprised the 2008 was 'still' or flat - you'd expect it to be lively, pétillant and exhuberant. Hmmnnn.....wet through cork, or leaky cork ? loose lead foil as well ? The wonderfull and long 2008 Summer in the Vendee (old friends there) was totally different than ours, so little excuse for a flat wine and sour finish - I don't know of Sancerre per se', but it is upstream and even warmer up at the beginning of the Loire.
The wine should be correct for £11 quid from an international chain !
