Yes, with more time this moring, I pulled out an NV Moet Imp Brut. There is no harvest or vintage year stated as you would expect. Therefore any discussion, or speculation of this wine's medium term keeping abilities is idle banter. Purchase date is pretty meaningless, other than a guide, the assembly may have been in the most recent 2-3 years, and that based on release date.
You may write the bought date on the back label and find out when it falls over - 'spose.
One of my disgusting habits to find out, is to knock off the left-overs when folks have gone - the washing up perks ! If the flat dregs are pretty naff, then I know a little bit more.
