Wine buffs who want to bag a bargain should head to quaffersoffers.co.uk, which is one of the best websites for wine deals. It allows you to search the current offers at supermarkets across the country, as well as specialist wine merchants. Morrisons, for example, is selling Pouilly Fumé for £8.99 rather than the standard £9.99 until April 11, while Waitrose has a 24% discount on Bredon brut champagne until April 13.

“Compared to the slick schmoozing of other money-saving websites, the irreverence of Quaffers Offers is a breath of fresh air; and it will save you cash on a decent bottle of vino – a win-win situation in my book. Edited by wine writer, Mel Jones, the site provides a straightforward search engine that allows you to choose supermarket, grape, country and price range, and then provides a direct link to detailed tasting notes. Users can typically save around 30% of the standard cost for plonks of preference.
Quaffers Offers also has discussion forums and articles by the editor, and will answer individual questions about wine. It all that the impression of being run from the kitchen table, and seems to one of the few remaining sites that really does offer great value for money.
