How The Offers Search Works
|
Suppliers* |
Grape varieties* |
Countries* |
Colour/type |
|
The search criteria are joined together with "AND" when searching for wines. So, selecting "France" as the country then "Red" as the colour will find wines which are from France and are red.
This also applies to word search which is joined with an "AND" to your other search critria. Taking the previous example then entering "2002" in word search would result in French reds with 2002 in their name being listed. The word search is not case sensetive, and what you enter can match part of a word - so "Wooded" will match "unwooded"!
When you enter more than one word in word search you can use the words in any order and exact match radio buttons (ie. ) to determine how the matching works. Consider the following three wine descriptions:
1. Rioja Reserva 1999, Berberana
2. Marques de Grinon Reserva Rioja
3. Rioja 1999, Berberana (Reserva)
Enter "rioja reserva" in word search and the matches will depend on the radio button:
words in any order - finds 1, 2 & 3
exact match - finds 1
Finally, please note that the wine titles are those provided by the suppliers. This means there isn't consistency, so word search is an imprecise science!
