If we are talking about the prevailing, I am down wind from you, sailing on your starboard quarter. I notice Caversham crops up here, there are are few from Caversham that are top notch ![]() Fresh golden Oloroso can be delicious. Unfortunately, many bottles are opened for an occasion and then left in a warm dining room for days or weeks on end ! Open, enjoy, then put in the fridge or cooler until next time. |

I opened this last last night, very good indeed, it appeals to my sweet tooth with a nicely balanced savoury edge. There arent any 'off' flavours which can indicate a 'cheap' sherry with poor fruit, the alcohol is soft and balanced. I will buy it again. I put it back in the fridge, I doubt it will stick around for long either way. |

If you want to jump up a fair bit in quality, but only a little in price, how about the Waitrose Solera Jerezana Cream Sherry at £9.75 Recommending it on www.BirdswithBottle.com for an Off Piste Easter. |
