I'm very sorry Mr G. That is a rat bag for you.

Did you drink this all in one session ? Or have you got some left for a second day.

From what you say, the wine appears to be flawed ? Not cellared properly ! Partially oxidised ? Was the cork good, and not soaked all the way up ?

Other Loire wine lovers, who seek out this wine, a prestige sancerre, haven't been so damning about the flavour.

Do you think the producer is living on his name and reputation - take the wine back for a refund - Please. Also, why did the delivery take so long ? I'd call them and ask a few awkward questions.

The cork was good. I don't think the wine was faulty. It tasted very much like the Fouassier Grand Groux that Somerfield used to sell. Very soapy. The delivery took so long because they were waiting for the Crochet Sancerre to come back into stock. But they delivered what they had after I phoned. This producer makes arguably the best PF but I will not buy this again.

2nd and 3erd day the same wine.

Better luck with the Crochet when it arrives.
