Lovely nose. Very inviting. Tobacco and cedar. Initial taste very promising but the finish is rather subdued. A hint of Bordeaux style tannin. Will try again tonight. |

Finished the bottle the night before last. It was, er, day 5  .
It was much better. I would have put it in Bordeaux if blind, but there was a lack of rusticity that gives it away. Very well made and would be good with food as well as on its own. Would benefit from a few years no doubt. Mel loved the 06 and in majestic today i found a solitary bottle of that vintage. Now the question is do I keep it for a while or compare with the 07 sooner?
